Infinite Succor: Difference between revisions

The ''Infinite Succor'' had no [[Elite]]s in her crew - her compliment seems to have been comprised entirely of [[Grunt]]s and [[Engineer]]s (Elites mention Huragok blood), along with the numerous animals of the preserve. The commander of the ship was a single lesser [[Prophet]]- the [[Minister of Etiology]]. And it looked as if it was the one of the first time covenant met with floods. Even thought they called them parasites, the Minister Of Etiology told the spec-ops that they were an ancient parasite, and they are called Flood.

==Involvement within the Great War==

In 2552 (or the [[Age of Reclamation|9th Age of Reclamation]]), it was above [[Installation 04]] when the [[Flood]] broke loose from the [[Halo]]'s [[Flood Containment Facilities]]. They repaired the crashed [[DX-class Spirit Dropship|Covenant Dropship]] ''[[Brilliant Gift]]'', and several [[Combat Form]]s flew the ship into the ''Infinite Succor'''s bay. By the time the Prophet knew what was going on, they were out of control.  

A [[Covenant_Special_Operations|Special Forces]] unit, led by [[Special Operations Commander]] [[Rtas 'Vadumee]] and Special Operations Officer [[Kusovai]], was sent to take care of the Flood intruders. They originally thought the Flood were a Human threat but were quickly surprised by the [[Flood]], which managed to assimilate a [[Special Ops Elites|SpecOps Elite]] and take the Covenant codes from him. The flood-infected Kusovai managed to slice off Vadum's left mandible. They were in the process of using the bodies of the crew and preserve animals to make a [[Brain Form]] in the engineering room of the ship. They were also successful in infecting the [[Prophet]] and making him into a [[Prophet Form]].

Eventually, [[Rtas 'Vadumee]] was forced to set the ''Infinite Succor'' on a [[Slipspace]] vector for the nearest star. He was able to survive, but the rest of his team, as well as the entire crew of the ship, are assumed to be lost when it was destroyed in the star.
