Despite attempted evasive maneuvers, the two ships collided, causing significant damage to the ''Spirit of Fire'', including destroying a portion of its supply of [[D20 Heron]]s, while minimal damage was done to the destroyer, due in part to its shields. However, in the early planning of ''Halo Wars'', a [[Cut Halo Wars levels|cut level]] was planned in which the player would then board the ''Tithe'' and destroy its engine compartment, in a similar fashion to the levels aboard ''Spirit of Fire''.
