| Gudam and her family moved on the [[Forerunner]] [[Dyson sphere]] [[Sarcophagus]], more commonly known as Onyx, at some point following the establishment of the [[Onyx United Research Project]]. In [[2558]], she was attending the inter-species [[Pax Institute]], where at one time she met [[human]] teenagers [[Molly Patel]] and [[Kareem El-Hashem]] during recess when the humans were residing under a tree. Gudam was not wearing her gas mask or tank as she wanted to breath the oxygen. When they spotted a bully, Karl, and his cronies picking on a fellow [[Sangheili]] student named [[Asum 'Mdama|Bakar]], Gudam went to stand up for him. Molly initially had no wish to get involved in what she saw as a Sangheili problem due to her nasty past but she chose to join Gudam as she was concerned for the Unggoy's safety.{{Citation needed}}

| Gudam is an adventurous Unggoy who likes to explore the unknown, which casts her out from her Unggoy peers. She is very brave and crafty, which has been shown on multiple occasions. For example, when she stood up for Bakar and came with Molly and Kareem to save Bakar from the [[Servants of the Abiding Truth]].{{Citation needed}}
