At an unknown time during the [[Human-Covenant War]], a marine nicknamed "[[Ghost (Marine)|Ghost]]" used the [[Prototype Powered Exoskeleton]] housed inside the facility to fend off [[Covenant]] forces as a last stand. After the surviving civilians and Marines evacuated the facility, Ghost initiated the Exoskeleton's nuclear fission self-destruct sequence to prevent the capture of the suit's technology. The resulting nuclear blast destroyed the facility along with all Covenant ground forces on the planet.
