I don't understand some of your thought process. It's evident that 'Taham is a rank in Fleet Security that is currently undefined. There are no other Maroon clad Elites in Assault Harnesses seen anywhere else in the game. We know he serves Fleet Security and sees combat. Just like "Honor Guard Ultra", his rank does not have an official name, but because there is a lack of name doesn't mean the rank does not exist.
