:I completely agree on the Halo Movie, but I believe that Halo DS needs to be removed from the side bar more than Canceled Projects in general. At least Chronicles and the MMO were at one point in time KNOWN projects. "Casamassina claimed it 'wasn't created by a garage developer, it was actually done by a major studio, a major publisher, AAA publisher,' <u>but he did not reveal the source of the demo</u>". And, "but there has never been an officially funded or sanctioned development of any sort of DS Halo game." And once again, "The game was rumored throughout 2007, <u>but was never acknowledged or developed by Bungie or Microsoft</u>." In the sole source is a video in which the host talks about "Once upon a time" and "Cancelled for reasons we cant discuss". Putting all of this together it sounds like a Fan-Made Mod as a pitch (which the article states). == Site Activity ==

I have a special site activity thing on my userpage. I seem to remember having it on Wikia, on the sidebar, below the 'Did You Know' feature (Yes I lurked as an anon for quite a while). Would anyone have any objections to putting it back on the sidebar? Or is it not even possible to put it on the sidebar?-- 11:06, 17 December 2012 (EST)

:I can put it on the sidebar for logged-in users only because I don't want it to constantly invalidate the page cache for guests. Do you want to do that? -- 15:43, 17 December 2012 (EST)

Navigation side bar (Halo: Evolutions)
I've been wondering about something for a while and I'm sorry if there's a reason this hasn't been done but I feel it warrants mention. In the Navigation side bar, under the books and media section I think Halo Evolutions needs to be treated a little differently. For one, it needs to be done like Halo Legends is. If you mouse over Legends you get each individual film come up, if you scroll over Evolutions in the novels section, shouldn't each short story be listed?
Furthermore, shouldn't there be an Evolutions sub menu under Animation that leads to the pages for the stories that have receive motion comic adaptations. They are animations after all, and are categorised as such.--Soul reaper (talk) 08:13, 16 March 2013 (EDT)
:Seems fair enough to list all stories from Evolutions if we're already listing individual shorts for Halo: Legends. As for putting them under the animation sidebar, it would be a bit redundant since those stories would be on the sidebar twice.-- 11:25, 16 March 2013 (EDT)

Achievement and medal templates
I've noticed the templates we use for multiplayer medals and achievements are quite massive, and when placed on individual articles, can take up a huge part of the page. Here is an example. Taking up that much of the page is a bit unnecessary and breaks the rule of avoiding template creep. Is it possible and does anyone object to making these templates collapsible, thereby reducing how much of the page they take up?-- 11:39, 15 February 2014 (EST)

Which wiki is better for technical information?
I am wondering, which is better for finding the height, width, length, crew number, etc. about vehicles. halo Nation or Halopedia. I am not looking for a biased answer.Shun Kanamee
:Unfortunately, asking on either wiki will probably get you a biased answer. I've looked over both wikis quite extensively and my personal opinion is that Halopedia is far more reliable than Halo Nation for Halo information. As for most object dimensions, they are entirely accurate as most of them were provided to us by Stephen Loftus, who has an account here.-- 22:57, 6 March 2014 (EST)

::For myself, I feel that Halopedia runs a smaller but tighter ship, to take a seagoing analogy. Halo Wiki looks to have higher traffic, but that doesn't necessarily make them more authoritative. A lot of users create profiles and never edit, or make tiny edits that repeat information already stated. We get less traffic, but the anonymous IPs and members who do edit here are generally of a higher standard, poor edits get corrected quicker, and the ban log has certainly slowed down since I stepped down as admin. -- <b><font color=indigo>Qura 'Morhek</font></b> <u><i><font color=blue>The Autocrat</font></i></u> <u><i><font color=purple>of Morheka</font></i></u> 04:18, 7 March 2014 (EST)

:Thanks for the kind words folks. I'm sorry but I do have a biased opinion. While I'm not the only one capable of figuring out the actual sizes of Halo objects though I may have the most experience with it, I briefly started out with an account on 'the other Halo wiki' and began adding facts and newer info such as object dimensions, and time and again those pages' changes were rolled back with no explanation. I promptly left after a few days and made my home here instead where that information was valued instead of deleted. -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 13:52, 7 March 2014 (EST)

Halo 2 Anniversary?
Has anyone other than me actually looked at Halo 2: Anniversary on Bing. It's has been announced for November, 2014. Hello? 76.17.73.143 03:12, 28 May 2014 (EDT)

:No, it really hasn't. Trust me, if it had, we would be all over that like Kanye on ridiculous baby names. It's still just rumour (increasingly plausible rumour, but still rumour) being reported as all-but-fact by irresponsible game journalists. There have been hints and teases and rumours, but nothing concrete. -- <b><font color=indigo>Qura 'Morhek</font></b> <u><i><font color=blue>The Autocrat</font></i></u> <u><i><font color=purple>of Morheka</font></i></u> 04:24, 28 May 2014 (EDT)

I guess we'll see in about 15 Days, when the next Gameinformer comes out. We'll also get some ground-breaking new Halo 5: Guardians Info. :) Cheers, 76.17.73.143 02:16, 31 May 2014 (EDT)

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition - Halo Mash-Up Pack
Halo Waypoint link

The Halo Mash-Up Pack for Minecraft Xbox 360 has been released recently. It includes several Halo multiplayer and campaign maps (including Sandtrap, Valhalla, and Blood Gulch) have been remade by 343i in Minecraft. Minecraft weapons have been re-textured (bows as Needlers, swords as energy swords or Gravity Hammers, etc). Forty Minecraft character skins have also been added, based on Halo characters (including Miranda Keyes, Guilty Spark, Arbiter, and Gek) and species (all Covenant species, except the San 'Shyuum and Huragok).

Anyway, my question is whether or not we should add trivia points to the articles of maps, weapons, characters, and species that appear in the mash-up. Some are more notable than others, I believe it is more notable to mention characters that appear as skins, rather than objects that appear from the re-texturing. Additionally, should we make a page for the mash-up pack? I am not sure if it is notable enough, but it was made by 343i and 4J Studios together. It has a decent amount of information that could be added and, ultimately, it should be at least mentioned somewhere. Any thoughts? - NightHammer (talk) 19:21, 31 May 2014 (EDT)
:At first, I thought we should add it to List of outside references to the Halo series, but the fact that 343i was involved in the project seems to make it something that isn't "made by notable sources outside the series" as stated in the page. That said, I feel this situation equates to the Warthog being featured in Forza 4, in which Halo content is directly made into a game, so it would make sense the Mash-Up Pack is mentioned in the page. That's what I think. —<span style="font-family: Eurostile;"><span style="color:#000;">SPARTAN</span><span style="color:#888;">331</span></span> 07:33, 1 June 2014 (EDT)

::Yeah, I was thinking we should just mention it in trivia points. However, I think an article on the subject would also be beneficial. It would be a way to show every character or map that appeared in the mash-up pack, kind of like a hub, but trivia mentioning could work too. - NightHammer (talk) 11:29, 1 June 2014 (EDT)

:::Given that it is officially endorsed and developed in conjunction with 343i, I personally would have nothing against the mash-up pack having its own article (much better IMO than having the content scattered in article trivia sections). That is as long as the article doesn't end up as another stub. --<font color="MidnightBlue"><b>Jugus</b></font> <small>(<font color="Gray">Talk</font> | <font color="Gray">Contribs</font>)</small> 11:46, 1 June 2014 (EDT)

::::Okay, cool, I agree. I will attempt to make the article now. Any suggestions on article name? I am thinking just "Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition - Halo Mash-Up Pack", but that seems over complicated. "Halo Mash-Up: Minecraft Evolved" is what the mash-up pack is called in the trailer, so that may be a good name as well. - NightHammer (talk) 11:56, 1 June 2014 (EDT)
