*If you would put this into Deadliest Warrior the result would be like this. The SPARTAN-II would win 58 percent of the time (no less than 55, no more than 68) and the SPARTAN-III would win 42 percent of the time. BUT, what that means is that 2 in every 5 times the SPARTAN-III would win. So it is most likely that a SPARTAN-II would be victorious (although that wouldn't be how he/she would feel, read all the injuries I wrote above, then add your own injuries to that list (not really, DON'T EDIT MY POST). But that's a pretty big number, so it is VERY likely that a SPARTAN-III would win (but if they did, they would might die soon after from injuries but most likely just have the injuries I wrote above).

*But, as we know that SPARTAN-IIs and SPARTAN-IIIs would never fight, that would be hard to simulate. And we simply don't have enough data, the CLOSEST thing we have to combat between SPARTAN-IIs and SPARTAN-IIIs is when Kelly-087 bitch slapped (more like punched, kicked etc.) Holly-G003 soon after Kelly-087 landed on Onyx.

All this S-II v S-III stuff? Irrelevant. Physically, they are identical - Spartan-III's aren't as genetically ideal as their predecessors, but the augmentation and training regimen more than makes up for it. They use an S-II to train them, using his experience from his own training and his combat service, and use improved augmentations to bring them up to par. The S-III's weren't given MJOLNIR simply because of the expense and difficulty of creating each suit - fitting roughly thirty Spartans with MJOLNIR cost the same as building a Naval battlegroup. Three hundred? Six hundred? Nine hundred suits of MJOLNIR? Probably beyond the UNSC's means. In a fight between an S-II and S-III, all things being equal, with or without MJOLNIR the fight would be pretty even, except for age and experience as factors.

I'm getting really tired of people bitching that S-III's are cheap knockoffs. Yes, they were wasted. Yes, they died, when the S-II's had a better track record. But soldiers die, and victories have their cost. Yes, they used mostly SPI and not MJOLNIR, but it's still much better than the gear other combat units use, especially the ODST's. -- <b><font color=indigo>Specops306</font></b> <u><i><font color=blue>Autocrat</font></i></u> <u><i><font color=purple>Qur'a 'Morhek</font></i></u> 02:56, 21 December 2010 (EST)

Trivia
The other day I was reading Jorge's page and I thought there were some things worth mentioning in his trivia wich weren't there. Firstly, Jorge is the first SPARTAN to die in-game, or the first one witnessed. Secondly he has a unique visor color, I haven't seen it before and players can not use it. Jorge is also the tallest member of noble, standing 233 cm, wich I think makes him about as tall as Samuel is ( or at least i think, Sam is described as 'a head taller' than John, Jorge is a head taller than the rest of noble team). Last but not least I think it is worth mentioning Jorge is the member of the team you work the most with in campaign, he shares this with Kat. I would like to hear other opinions on this, just tell what you think of it.83.83.61.111 07:48, 14 July 2011 (EDT)

:The trivia section is for things that weren't mentioned anywhere else in the article, not for summarisations. Therefore, him being the first SPARTAN death in-game is of little use. I believe his unique visor was already mentioned when talking about his armour system and how to emulate it. He is the tallest because he is a SPARTAN-II, quite simply. I have no problem with the "work the most with in campaign" idea, though it could easily be removed by another user.-- <font color="blue">Fore</font><font color="green">run</font><font color="red">ner</font> 08:15, 14 July 2011 (EDT)

::Has any source stated that the SPARTAN-IIIs are shorter than the SPARTAN-IIs? Whilst unarmored, John, who represents the average build of the S-IIs, is the same height as Carter and Emile: 2.08 meters (6' 10"). Jun, the tallest S-III on the team, was 2.1 meters (nearly 6' 11"). Kat was just under 2.06 meters (6' 9").

::It seems to me that, because the Gamma Company S-IIIs encountered by Blue Team were in their early-to-mid teens, and thus much smaller than the S-IIs, many fans assume that the SPARTAN-IIIs remain smaller when fully grown. However, official information makes it clear that this is not the case. Jorge, at 7' 4", was not taller simply because he was a SPARTAN-II; he was a giant among even the S-IIs, like Sam. --Courage never dies. 08:51, 14 July 2011 (EDT)

:: I read the article again and didn't read anything about the colour of his visor, but maybe thats just me. I think Jorge's height is still worth mentioning, and he shouldn't be massured against III's but against II's indeed. I do believe his death is worth mentioning, because it is never explicitly stated that he is the first SPARTAN to die in a game.83.83.61.111 10:27, 14 July 2011 (EDT)

Unknown Possibility of Limited Survival and Recoverability
Is there any really, really small chance that Jorge could have survived the Slipspace bomb?  It was a one-way jump, with no destination, yes, but the portal generated by the Slipspace Drive fit the width of the Supercarrier.  The Corvette Jorge was in surely would've been swallowed whole, and therefore would have suffered damage only by collision with the Supercarrier.  If a preservation chamber or something of the like was present onboard that Corvette, akin to a cryo pod, Jorge could've been indefinitely put to sleep stranded, similar to John, except in Slipspace.  Now, I don't know if there is any traffic in Slipspace, and whether or not you can encounter anything else in the Slipspace dimension, but if that is the case, Jorge could be recovered at some point.  And if not, maybe Jorge or any remaining Covenant on the Corvette could use whatever Slipspace machinery was on the Corvette to escape from it (remember that Covenant Slipspace tech is unlike anything created by man, as Cortana pointed out).  I understand that if any of these things were possible, there would be an extreme low chance of occurence.  I also understand that Jorge isn't known to have the luck that John does.  But I was just wondering if there was maybe just the slightest possibility of him being potentially able to return to the universe. Cool fool 02:32, 17 August 2011 (EDT)
::I've been a very large proponent of the theory that Jorge survived after those events. The Corvette would have been more or less intact. More than this, Jorge's helmet was still on the floor of the flight deck, as well as several Seraph fighters.--The Ragin Pagan (talk) 20:52, 16 March 2016 (EDT)

:I believe that the corvette was sent into slipspace undamaged, seeing as how the portal completely surrounded it. However, the ship would have entered slipspace right in front of the reinforcing fleet. It's not a bomb in the 'explosive' sense, but merely in a 'destructive' sense. Opponents of this theory take note of the scorch marks on the supercarrier, suggesting high-energy conditions capable of heating the metal hull, though I suppose it could have been due to calamity within the ship, instead - pipes transporting dangerous, high-energy materials could be cut. Based on available reference material we can conclude that, yes - the corvette entered slipspace. Jorge's survival, however, is left ambiguous, though given up for dead by the rest of NOBLE team in a similar manner to James - he survived the initial event but was unable to be rescued due to the current situation.-- <font color="blue">Fore</font><font color="green">run</font><font color="red">ner</font> 06:26, 17 August 2011 (EDT)

:No, he's officially listed as Killed In Action, according recent sources.-- <span style="color: #7BA05B; font-weight:bold; font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"><tt>KEEP IT CLEAN</tt></span> <font color="Black"><u>Comm Line</u></font> <font color="Black"><u>Transmissions</u></font> 15:00, 15 May 2012 (EDT)

::I do think, story-telling wise, there's a difference between being designated KIA and being confirmed KIA. For all intents and purposes, we don't know what happened to Jorge, and can only assume, sans a later appearance, that he was killed by the slipspace rupture. It's remotely possible that he survived on the Corvette if it wasn't destroyed by the chunk of Supercarrier it took with it, and if he wasn't swarmed by what was left of the Corvette's crew, but then that still leaves him stranded in slipspace. So while he's officially designated KIA, I think it's fairer to say he genuinely is KIA, in the same sense as James, in that there's currently no conceivable way for him to have survived. Then again, we all kind of assumed Jun was MIA until 343 brought him back, so they might do something with Jorge. Given their penchant for killing off the remaining Spartan-IIs, though, I'd rather they leave it to our imaginations. -- <b><font color=indigo>Qura 'Morhek</font></b> <u><i><font color=blue>The Autocrat</font></i></u> <u><i><font color=purple>of Morheka</font></i></u> 06:35, 2 September 2014 (EDT)

Official Errors
So the official visual guide calls his armor the Mark IV but literally every other piece of media calls it the Mark V and it has shields like the Mark V.  Are we going with the obvious error from that single source and retconning things officially or are we going with the other sources that say he's got Mark V and not opening the can of worms on how he has a Mark IV model with shields?

:His overall suit is Mark V. But he uses Grenadier which is a Mark IV variant. Grenadier being compatible with Mark V but not a true Mark V variant.-CIA391 (talk) 02:41, 4 October 2016 (EDT)

:Yes I know his helmet is Mk IV, I was more asking because the equipment section erroneously listed his entire suit as Mk IV, justified based on one page of the "official visual guide".  It seems like we need to clarify that better because otherwise it could result in an edit war; is the official word yay or nay on disregarding that one source because it conflicts with all the others?
