Staff Sergeant / Gunnery Sergeant Marcus P. Stacker and Private First Class Chips Dubbo survived although they where never mentioned in the book, however if anyone wanted to fix the story then they will have to retcon it which will not be easy as we need full closure on what happens to Stacker and Dubbo.
