At least, it is for enemies. I was playing mission 3 (sword base) and in where the shotgun room was in the beta, was a zealot duel wielding plasma rifles. can somone add this info to the approate pages? I would, but I need t finish mission 4 :) [[User talk:Jabberwock xeno|Jabberwock xeno]] 03:15, September 16, 2010 (UTC)

== Did Frankie let something slip? ==
Here's a snippet from the 09/19/12 Halo Bulletin from their very own Frank O'Connor:
'''STORM RIFLE:'''
:'''DESIGNATION:''' ''T-55 Directed Energy Rifle/Advanced''
:'''MANUFACTURER:''' ''Lodam Armory''
:'''MAGAZINE CAPACITY:''' ''N/A''
:''Fully automatic, directed-energy weapon, widely considered the successor to the traditional Plasma Rifle. ''
:''How it feels: ''
:''Frank - This isn’t accurate in terms of power or performance, exactly, but in a way I am reminded of the Brute Plasma Rifle from Halo 2 in terms of ferocity and sheer visceral pleasure. Of course it doesn’t work well at long range and '''''can’t be dual wielded''''', but that’s my snapshot impression, if it makes any sense.''
A tantalyzing clue as to the existence of dual wielding in Halo 4?
On the surface, his statement would simply seem to highlight the differences between the H2 Brute Plasma Rifle, which '''''could''''' be dual wielded, and the Storm Rifle, which cannot... But why even bring that up at all if Dual wielding firearms isn't going to be a part of Halo 4?
For now, I say keep our eyes open for more clues, & keep this on the back burner.
