On the Xbox version of Halo: CE the active camo looks just like the later active camos - it bends light. But on Halo PC all it does is just fade whoever picks it up, and theres a picture here of a camouflaged SPARTAN on Timberland (which is exclusive to Halo PC) and the camouflage bends light! Did he use Halo Custom Edition? [[User talk:Bottletopman|Bottletopman]] 07:30, April 20, 2010 (UTC)

I don't think the one with the light bending around the player involved Custom Edition.  The graphics capabilities of the computers used to take each of the Combat Evolved screenshots are likely different.  I know this from personal experience.  I play Combat Evolved on my computer (which actually doesn't quite meet the graphical system requirements) and I see the "faded" effect.  However, my friend's computer (which can play Crysis at medium settings without lag) shows the "bending" effect.  It also would be incredibly hard to add the "bending" effect to a suboptimal PC (even with Custom Edition), because it would involve changing the game in such a way that the effect would be achieved without taxing the performance, something the game already tried to do during installation.  In short, they're the same game with different systems.--[[User talk:ReconNinja117|ReconNinja117]] 16:21, 19 April 2011 (EDT)
