Jaggers: Difference between revisions

During the [[Battle of Sigma Octanus IV]], Jaggers demonstrated gross incompetence, insubordination, and came a hair's-breadth from attempted mutiny (actual). While at his post during the battle, he pleaded with [[Hikowa]] and turned away from his station. <ref>''[[Halo: The Fall of Reach]]'', page 149</ref>. At several points during the battle, his inability to follow orders without question nearly led to the death of his entire crew. After the battle, [[Commander (UNSC)|Commander]] Keyes had [[Rear Admiral (Lower Half)|Rear Admiral]] [[Michael Stanforth|Stanforth]] reassign Jaggers to another vessel, or as the book implies, an outpost. Possibly a Slipstream Outpost, where he could do no damage while helping the [[UNSC]] at the same time. <ref>''[[Halo: The Fall of Reach]]'', page 161</ref>.  

He was later replaced as the NAV officer by [[Ensign]] [[William Lovell]] <ref>''[[Halo: The Fall of Reach]]'', page 162</ref>. Ironically, this replacement brought about Lovell's death in the [[Battle of Installation 04]], while Jaggers had been transfered, thus saving his life.
