A '''Featured Article''' of '''[[Main Page|Halopedia]]''' is one of Halopedia's best articles. The criteria for such an article are variable, but often, such articles must be of exceptional writing quality, longer length, have a large supply of augumenting pictures, well-referenced, and must be sufficiently notable.
'''Featured articles''' represent the reputation and identity of any wiki; as such, it is important to make sure every information in an article is factually correct and of proper format. Articles that satisfy the [[#Requirements|requirements]] will be featured on the [[Main Page|main page]]. A small Legendary symbol ([[File:Main-Legendary.png|20px]]) attached to the upper right-hand of any article indicates that that article has earned a "featured article" status.


Featured article status is decided by the panel known as the [[H:Monitors|Monitors of Halopedia]]. While any user can nominate an article for featured article status, a vote of at least four out of the six Monitors is necessary to confirm it. After a time, however, detrimental edits to an article or a reconsideration of the article's notability or quality may compel the removal of Featured Article status from an article. A vote of two out of the six Monitors is required to remove status.
