I have no problem with the Halo Wars armor (I actually like it a lot) and I do think Halsey's schematic is probably the most "aesthetically linear, progression-wise" (idk). I think the Cole Protocol version is neat, but I do not like the look of the Halo Legends, and now H4:FUD, one. I mean, it looks like the outside artist who made it didn't care for "aesthetic linearity" and just wanted it to be immediately recognizable to the majority and to people only slightly familiar with Halo. Why did FUD have to go with that one!? I just saw the HW mark iv in an H4 trailer and it looked awesome. That version would have been way better and way cooler and not to mention 'more' canon. I guess they decided against it because of it's mobility issues (the shoulder joints seem kinda restricted)? But with small adjustments that's no problem.
