First squad was stationed in a [[Tanzania]]n jungle in [[Africa]], [[Earth]], during the [[Battle of Earth]] and was part of the Marine force that found [[John-117|SPARTAN-117]] after his atmospheric landing. When the Spartan was revived, during the UNSC extraction operation from the jungle, [[Gunnery Sergeant]] [[Marcus Stacker]] was in command of First squad, who was ordered by Sergeant Major Johnson to deploy and move out as his scouts.{{Ref/Reuse|s117}}


It was stationed in the [[Kenya]]n jungle of [[Africa]], [[Earth]] during the [[Battle of Earth]] and was part of the Marine force that found [[SPARTAN-117]] after his atmospheric landing. When [[SPARTAN-117]] was revived, during the UNSC extraction operation from the jungle [[Sergeant Major]] [[Avery J. Johnson]] assumed command of First Squad, ordering them to deploy and move out as his scouts.
First squad followed John 117 and [[Thel 'Vadam]] through the Jungle and linked up with [[Bravo Team]]'s only survivor, Gunnery Sergeant [[Reynolds]]. After rescuing Sergeant Johnson and the remains of Second squad, First squad was evacuated to [[Crow's Nest (location)|Crow's Nest]].{{Ref/Reuse|s117}}


First Squad was presumably extracted with Johnson via [[Pelican Dropship]] and taken prisoner by the [[Brute]]s in the subsequent interception of their dropship.
