The brute gatling mortar was going to be a weapon in Halo 5 that would have been a massive mortar held like the detachable [[turret]] the mortar was one of four brute weapons cut. The weapon holds no rounds and instead has a percent of ammo that while being fired doesn't go down though it is likely the weapon was scraped before this was programed. The projectiles that are fired from the gun are fast firing explosives bolts. It takes only five of these rounds to drop a fully shielded spartan regardless of body shot or not. With no reload speed and its fast fire rate would've made this a deadly weapon if implemented.{{Ref/Reuse|GCREQs}} | |||
