The '''Highland Mountains''' are a large group of mountain ranges on the northern continents of the [[UNSC]]'s colony planet [[Reach]]. The Highland mountains are home to many facilities used by [[HIGHCOM]], including [[Camp Hathcock]], [[Camp Independence]], and [[ONI]]'s [[CASTLE Base]] (under [[Mechanite Mountain]]). After the [[Battle of Reach]], these mountains were the only area not [[glassing|glassed]] by the [[Covenant]].
