Doctor Stephen Loftus was one of two naval architects responsible for the construction of Cairo Station, the other being Lead Engineer Alexander Kerr-Fox.[1] The orbital defense platform's construction began over Earth on August 23, 2550, and was completed on September 14, 2552.[1]
