Some dude once said, "a game without an epic intellectual story is dead." Not far from the truth, especially with an awesome military sci-fi ''universe'', like Halo. Don't listen when they tell it's just a game, or that XBL's where it's at. Yeah, Halo has some games, but did Bungie make 'em for the pure sake of multiplayer, or nothing other than mindless carnage to be wrought by some nameless guy in a suit ? I think not. Even [[Marathon]], carnographic (carnage-filled) as it was (is), still revolves around its really cool, epic, sci-fi story. Seriously, would you rather play something where you only hear "omfgim2l33t4ufaglol" screamed from the über-squeaky voices of twelve-year-olds, or something where, when not playing a game, you can ''read'' about course corrections , firing solutions, infantry maneuvers, and all manner of military techno-speak that no n00b with an IQ of 200 or below could ever decipher, unless they already had a background in true nerddom (and some fairly deep military knowledge as well ?)

*  Casual gamers often say that Master Chief is just another stock sci-fi shooter hero. Well, ''Master Chief Petty Officer Spartan-II John-117'' is far from it. Yeah, I'm raving, and maybe 2 percent of "Halo fans" care about what I'm saying. But, mark my words, Halo is the new Star Wars.

*  And that sums it up.
