Okay, I just tried to take one trial screenshot in Halo: Reach Campaign, and that one didn't work either, just like when I tried to take screenshot in Halo 4 Forge mode. So now I'm thinking the problem must be with my TV. My TV is small (but not too small) and has an integrated videocassette player. It looks a bit like this TV. Is there any way to overcome this? :I'm not sure what to say. I thought the system was pretty straightforward unless they've made changes recently. I don't think your TV would be affecting the results. I think the work is done in the Xbox itself and the screen is just your way to see what's going on. Perhaps when we're both on at the same time, we can go trough the exercise together and see what's what. Can you even preview your own screenshots in the local files area? Can you call up a screenshot you took days ago for instance? I'm not even worried about them even being uploaded to Waypoint at this juncture. Just if you can take a screenshot and view it in your recent files. -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 16:38, 17 March 2014 (EDT)

Hi Stephen,
Hi Stephen,
I noticed on this page;http://www.halopedia.org/Talk:Colonial_Military_Administration, you mentioned that you were working on a chart to break down the organization of the UNSC/UEG, including HighCom, Regional CentCom's etc. I was wondering if you've made progress on it, or maybe even have finished it?

I've been working on one myself that feels pretty clunky and I'd be interested to see what you, or others have already accomplished in that vein.

:I have worked on it extensively since that time, actually, but unsure what I can share. Although most of the work is mine, I have been working in an unofficial capacity with 343 Industries on it as well. I think more to help iron out the overall organization than for any practical use or publication at this time and my own chart is far more complex than they need or even want (they don't like to creatively paint themselves in the proverbial corner) so if you have some questions about the organization, I may be able to answer some things, but even 343 hasn't made any definitive decisions on it so my own chart I maintain could still get some revisions. If 343 is ok with me putting what would have to be my 'speculative' version, I may be able to do some at some point. Although as more info comes along I do tend to want to make revisions. I'll tell you this, by studying actual military org charts, you can pin down a lot of this. Thanks for your interest...I'm always up for discussions of this nature. :) -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 21:09, 28 September 2015 (EDT)

Hi, Stephen. I would like to have some discussion about the Elefen-pattern battlecruiser because it was believed that it is confirmed to be the two-pronged CCS (according to ). Is this true that the Elefen is the 2-pronged CCS? Ynoss (talk) 12:10, July 18, 2019 (EDT)

:Hi, yeah, the intent at the time was to drop in the other pattern name to account for both styles of battlecruiser seen to that point. -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 07:14, July 19, 2019 (EDT)

Hey, I was hoping you might be able to shed some light on something thats become a point of discussion in the Discord. We're currently sorting out the civilian vehicles side of things and the question of the NMPD Mongoose (file link) came up. A link on the talk page for the M274 Mongoose mentions its origins as a mod for GMod, with the post in question showing some other things such as an NMPD hornet (file link), though this post itself mentions rips from the actual Halo games being used in creating their mod. Would you happen to know if the NMPD Mongoose (and by extension the Hornet too I suppose) are actually cut vehicles from ODST left in the game files or simply fan made versions? Thanks a lot. :To my knowledge, the NMPD Mongoose is a fan creation and it does not have graphic assets in the ODST game files. -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 15:23, September 2, 2019 (EDT)

::That's great then, I'll get that removed from the page. As a side note, were you able to get the full text for the Karisu Holiday Resort poster figured out? I wanted to hold off on deleting the page in case it was something we could just move and rename. BaconShelf (talk) 15:58, September 2, 2019 (EDT)

:::Sorry, no, I couldn't get it clarified further. The remaining text is too messed to figure out exactly what letters are there and it wasn't quite enough to guess at for the friend that knows Swahili as a 2nd or 3rd language. -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 17:10, September 2, 2019 (EDT)

Warfleet SOIEV designation
Hey, just writing about a question that came up in the Discord server. Halo: Warfleet p.42 lists an M9047 SOEIV designation as employed by the UNSC Infinity. Would you happen to know if this was intended to be the drop pod seen in Halo 3: ODST/ Helljumper/ Fireteam Raven (image) or the one seen in the Halo 5: Guardians Warzone mode (image) or an otherwise not-depicted variant?

: Hi, the number is 9407 (you have some numbers switched above). The M9407 referenced in Warfleet are supposed to be the pods introduced on the UNSC Infinity for Halo 4/5; first mentioned in the Thorne booklet from Halo 4 LE and, as you said, seen in the Warzone game type. The variant seen in the ODST game has not been issued a model number in any canon source I know of so far. -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 19:20, June 5, 2020 (EDT)

#I believe the M7650 was meant to be older than both your examples. I can say for sure what 343i had in mind when providing that designation, but the original Encyclopedia text was trimmed down some in the final version so it's missing some references that may have provided clues. Honestly I can't be certain myself even seeing the cut text but I'll put it on my list to ask them if it's something they wish to reveal.

#So far as I understand it, the UNSC Armed Forces is the blanket organization of the entire military; that is to say covering all 5 branches. Items like the UNSC Department of Commercial Shipping was once the CMA Department of Commercial Shipping but when the UNSC absorbed the CMA they left a lot of the technical hierarchy in place and just shuffled some of the leadership around. Where the M in CMA was Military, they ended up relegated to the non-military aspects and the UNSC took over anything military. So while there's a UNSC Department of Commercial Shipping in the org chart, they have a fraction of the power/influence they once had as the CMA/CAA. The others you mention can still be under one of the branches but have a mix of civilian contractors and military personnel both. Not sure if that clarifies things or muddies the water more.

#I believe a UNSCEF is assembled/dismantled as-needed. There may not always be an active expeditionary force but when the need arises, units from probably all branches would be assigned to a UNSCEF. The UNSCDF would be more like the Army and Air Force branches. They are the defensive units for planets/colonies. The Navy and Marines are more the expeditionary forces, but I'm not sure you'd label an org chart with these entries. -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 16:27, April 18, 2022 (EDT)

:::Ah, I see - thanks a lot for the clarification! For reference, I'm currently working on a big writeup here, so this is useful to know. I think that, given the current encyclopedia doesn't capitalise the term "UNSC armed forces", I see it as unlikely it's a major enough subdivision to warrant having its own entire article separate from the overall UNSC article. As for DF/EF units, it sounds an awful lot like the way the various newer sources (fleet battles, encyclopedia 2022 etc) describe stuff like the Marine Expeditionary Forces or the way Marine deployments get handled between NAVCOM/UNICOM.

::::Update. I spoke to the Encyclopedia authors. I take back some of what I put in point #1 but I'll add that they seem ok with pinning down what the M7650 will refer to. But rather than me say something (as I'm not a canonical source) they will attempt to integrate it into some future Canon Fodder article on the Waypoint site. -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 15:00, April 20, 2022 (EDT)
