First Squad was presumably extracted with Johnson via [[Pelican Dropship]] and taken prisoner by the [[Brute]]s in the subsequent interception of their dropship. The survivors, including Johnson, were then rescued by the Master Chief and [[Thel 'Vadam]]. First Squad was led by [[Gunnery Sergeant Stacker]] before Johnson assumed command.
First squad followed John 117 and [[Thel 'Vadam]] through the Jungle and linked up with [[Bravo Team]]'s only survivor, Gunnery Sergeant [[Reynolds]].
