Rho 'Barutamee was the shipmaster of the CSO-class supercarrier Long Night of Solace and the Supreme Commander of the Fleet of Valiant Prudence, the first group of Covenant warships to discover humanity's key colony of Reach. 'Barutamee was a devout follower of the Covenant faith, and he was obsessed with finding the location of Maethrillian, the fabled capital of the Forerunner ecumene. It is believed that 'Barutamee perished when the Long Night of Solace was destroyed during the United Nations Space Command's Operation: UPPER CUT in August 2552.
