:I was thinking the same thing (given that the Type-51 designation matches up perfectly with the Battle of Meridian), however, looking at it now, the one at Meridian does look like a Type-53. The designations were given by the UNSC when the item was properly documented, so maybe the UNSC didn't designate the Type-53 until 2553.
