Was actually boarded by the covenant in mid transit toward the Hearth of Midlothian. The ship onboard AI refused to activate the Self Destruct for it was programmed to not kill a human life. Once the Captain (The last Human aboard) was killed by the invading Elite. The AI informed the Covenant that she was programmed to preserve human life, and then once the Captain's life was registered as dead.
