| I believe that the forerunners are similar to that of the ancients in the stargate universe in the sence that they were highly advanced peoples who came from another part of the univerce who monitured the life of other planet life. Like the ancients, the technology of the forerunners is used by a culture that looks at the humans as infierior and try to use that technology in order to destroy the humans. And similar to the halo universe, there was a weapon made by the ancient peoples that could destroy all life.
