The Killing Spree Medal is awarded for killing 5 opponents in a row without dying.  It is available in all Multiplayer gametypes and has a Bungie difficulty rating of 6 (out of 10). This is represented by a gray 4-sided star.
The Killing Spree medal is awarded for killing 5 opponents in a row without dying in multiplayer and Spartan Ops. In campaign and Firefight it is awarded for killing 10 opponents in a row without dying. In Halo: Spartan Assault and Halo: Spartan Strike the medal is awarded for killing three enemies in a row without being hit.

The Killing Spree medal was represented by a steel 4-sided star with a cyan target in the middle, with the Halo 5: Guardians version having a cyan colored star. In Halo: Spartan Assault and Halo: Spartan Strike it is represented by a stylized shield. When a player gets this medal, the announcer will shout "Killing Spree!" to the player that received it. In Halo: Combat Evolved, because there are no medals, if a player kills five opponents in a row without dying, they will still hear the announcer, but instead see "Killing Spree!" in the upper left of the screen.

Trivia
*In Halo 3 the highest spree possible is 255 kills. Even if you get more kills after that number, without dying, it will still say that your highest spree was 255 kills. This is most likely because 255 is the maximum value representable by an eight-digit binary number, and therefore the maximum representable by an unsigned 8-bit byte.
*Earning this medal in a Halo 2 for Windows Vista multiplayer game unlocked the Killing Spree achievement.
*Prior to the shutdown of Xbox 360 Halo online services on January 13, 2022, earning this medal in a Halo: Reach multiplayer matchmaking game unlocked the What's a Killing Spree? achievement.
*Earning 100 Killing Spree medals in Halo: The Master Chief Collection matchmade games will unlock the Spree Master achievement.
