			Kelly does survive the battle of Onyx, but along with SCPO Mendez, DR. Catherine Halsey, Tom, Lucy, Linda, and Fred (who was just promoted by Kurt to leutenant) the are trapped in what they belive is a micro-dison shphere. I beleive Dr. Halsey said was in the core of Onyx built by the Forerunners to protect them for the Halos. We may never find out if Blue Team (Fred, Kelly, Linda, Tom, Lucy, Mendez, and the Dr) does escape from the sphere until the next game or book
