Naming a member of an alien race bent on human destruction after an Islamic practice would have been interpreted as racist, casting the UNSC as the "Americans", and making Halo a metaphor for the War on Terror. Technically Thel 'Vadam is not the current Arbiter because the year is 2011. Thel(Favorite Character eva!) wasn't put in until 2552. I find this weird. | |||
