:I have an account already, and I really ought to use it. For that I apologize. I also apologize if I sounded rude before. The point I was making is that we cannot begin to estimate a figure for the human population of Earth in 2552 with a simple linear algebraic equation. Certain factors, such as the limited resources available to house and feed the population, are inevitably going to limit the number of human beings which can live on Earth at any given time. On top of that, there are the unknowns of what portion of the population had left in the preceding centuries to form the colonies, and how many have since returned as refugees after the onset of the human-covenant war. In that light, with so many unknowns and no mention of the figure given in any of the books, it would be best to simply leave these figures out.
