It should be noted that the Monitor on the ceiling couldn't be [[2401 Penitent Tangent]], for it's far too large, and Penitent Tangent has a red "eye", in fact it is several times the size of an average Monitor, such as the player's model whilst in [[Forge]]. It has been speculated to be a "local caretaker," designated to watch over the facility like a prison guard, similar to a "dumb" [[UNSC]] [[AI]]. It seems to have failed as the Flood have mostly taken over the facility, although no Flood can be seen in the main room in which this Monitor resides, so perhaps, in a way, it has succeeded.
