The game was released on May 22, 2007 in the US and was recalled on May 25, 2007 for re-release on May 31, 2007 after partial nudity was found in the game's coding. A [[Halo 2 (PC) patches|patch]] was released on May 25, 2007 to remove the partial nudity for those people who bought the game before it was recalled for re-release and Microsoft sent updated content stickers to retailers who already had copies game of the game before it's May 31 release date.
