On the night of the August 11, Recon Team Bravo was sent by [[Kat-B320]] to a Covenant-occupied area in the [[Viery Territory]]. In addition to eliminating several Covenant outposts, the team also encountered a group of troopers from the [[Reach militia]] who had returned to their abandoned homes for weapons they smuggled from the [[UNSC]]. Upon discovery of a [[Covenant Empire|Covenant]] [[stealth pylon]] in [[Ütközet hydroelectric power plant|a hydroelectric plant]], Jun was ordered to plant an [[Unidentified UNSC explosive|explosive]] on the pylon, which Kat believed to be the source of the "dark zone".
