The First Battle of Harvest was the first engagement in the [[Human-Covenant War]], a massive interplanetary war that would last for twenty-seven years. The [[SPARTAN-II training|training]] of the [[SPARTAN-II program|SPARTAN-IIs]] was accelerated and the SPARTANs were sent to [[Chi Ceti IV]] to receive their [[MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor]] to aid in combat against the Covenant.
