At the start of this level in the chief crater,press y to go to pan cam, then press up on the d pad until the numbers are about 60000000.00 then press right trigger and it should send you out of the boundaries and to a white area with green landscape underneath. If that happened then press down on the d pad to lower the numbers and put then to the normal camera speed 1000.00 (default speed) and you can explore the first part of this level before you go into the cave.
