:I'm guesing what happens at the Absolute Record is what triggers the Guardians to reactivate - we know "The Domain" is somehow active, even though it of all things should have been destroyed by the Halos original firing, being based on Precursor "neural physics" -0 and, being a repository for the Durance of every dead Forerunner for millions of years, it could be a means for the return of the Forerunners as an actual, physical species, albeit in Promethean shells. Are the Guardians paving the way for this process? Or are they trying to PREVENT it happening, serving the Librarian's plan of handing off the Mantle to humanity instead of letting Forerunners reclaim it in some form, with a few colonies as collateral damage?
