"Let’s dive into this a little deeper and try and address some of the questions that will no doubt arise from the community. First off are the “Vidmaster Challenge” achievements. These three will not earn you any gamer points but there will (eventually) be a pay-off. We’re not going to spoil the fun just yet but suffice it to say that gamerscore isn’t everything. There is a pot of gold at the end of the Vidmaster rainbow and it is something you will want. More details later."

Vidmaster Challenge: 7 on 7 is an achievement released with Title Update 2, which was unlocked by entering into a ranked or social playlist with 7 EXP on the 7th day of any month.[2] This didn't mean the player had to start off with 6 in total and advance to 7. Instead, all they had to do was gain 7 points within that day. Example: If you have 100 points in total, make it to 107. The achievement's sign is the Marathon symbol and the number 7.

Following the shutdown of Xbox 360 Halo online services on January 13, 2022, this achievement is no longer attainable.[3][4]

This Vidmaster achievement did not award any gamerscore points. Prior to March 31, 2012 unlocking all Vidmaster Challenge achievements unlocked the Recon Armor; after this date, the armor is unlocked by default.

In order to help gamers unlock the achievement, Bungie created the 7 on the 7th playlist on the seventh of every month, where each player had zero experience in the playlist.

TriviaEdit

  • Everything about this achievement is a 7 reference.
