On August 23rd, 2552, Stalwart Dawn was operating near the major metropolitan area of New Alexandria, Eposz. Army Sergeant Major Duvall requested air support from Stalwart Dawn to cover civilian transports evacuating refugees from the besieged city at the New Alexandria Starport; however, the frigate was unable to provide any fighter or gunfire support, resulting in the destruction of transport 6 Echo 2 by an orbiting Covenant SDV-class heavy corvette.
