Tempos were fast-attack runners used by the Forerunners. A common class of Tempo was the Merganser-class.[1]

Design details
Tempos were the backbone of localized air force divisions throughout the ecumene. While not as heavily armed or armored as other craft, Tempos were consider an invaluable asset to any combat group.[1]
