Does this have anything to do with those Slipspace crates article I created? The book itself seems to suggest so, but doesn't seem to make any mention of the unusual crates. Yes. The Quantum Marker is a UNSC-built contraption based on Forerunner slipspace translocation grid tech. Those crates are part of the system for the UNSC.
