Merge and rename[edit]

We should merge the content from "Medal of Honor" into this article and rename it "UNSC Legion of Honor". It's only been referred to as the "Red Legion of Honor" once, and it's fairly certain that Hood's medal in Halo 2 and 3 has the same significance as this decoration, or even refers to it.--The All-knowing Sith'ari 12:34, 10 September 2011 (EDT)

I'm guessing that the two are synonymous, with the "Medal of Honor" being an early/fan-made term based entirely on US military custom, and the newer name showing that the UNSC is not simply a renamed US militaru.-- Forerunner
I agree.--The All-knowing Sith'ari 13:21, 10 September 2011 (EDT)
And having just consulted my copy of The Fall of Reach, I'm actually wondering where we got the "Red" part from. There's no reference to it in the pages where Halsey and Cortana discuss the Chief's decorations.--The All-knowing Sith'ari 13:28, 10 September 2011 (EDT)
A bit late to the discussion, but the "Red" part is indeed mentioned in the novel. Page 95 in original and 116 in the new one, where it describes Mendez's decorations ("...the Red Legion of Honor award..."). --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 13:45, 23 May 2012 (EDT)
