I had inferred that the humans who committed suicide did so out of fear that they would be sent back to the Flood. -- SFH 13:33, 20 August 2011 (EDT)

50 or 53 years?[edit]

The conflict is said to have lasted 50 years but in Primordium Forthencho stated he'd fought the didact for 53 years. Forgotten Helljumper 21:49, 5 December 2013 (EST)

Maybe the "50 years" statement was an estimated time of the conflict rather than an exact time.--Spartacus TalkContribs 00:12, 6 December 2013 (EST)
Yeah, the 50 years figure mentioned in Cryptum is probably a rough estimate, like most references to time in the Forerunner novels. Another example being the way the human-Forerunner wars are most commonly stated as having occurred - and ended - "ten thousand years" before 100,000 BCE, yet there are a couple of mentions of the more specific nine thousand years. The "53 years" figure can be mentioned in the article, but it would be rather useless to incorporate it in our timeline pages due to the already heavy approximation and ambiguity of the 109,000 BCE and 110,000 BCE dates. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 01:18, 10 December 2013 (EST)
