Dutch's in-game description says he "volunteered in time to participate in the failed defense of Tribute". Dutch enlisted in 2540, but the battle couldn't possibly have taken place back then, if Tribute is still considered a part of the Epsilon Eridani system. Well, Contact Harvest referred to it as "Epsilon Eridanus", but i doubt it meant the Eridanus system with that. Unless Staten got the two mixed up, which seems likely considering the way the system is referred to in CH.

So my point is, if Dutch enlisted in time to partake in the battle, wouldn't that mean it took place a pretty short time after he enlisted? 12 years is not exactly "just in time". Though it seems extremely unlikely that the Covenant would just arrive in the UNSC's most heavily defended system, leave for 12 years and then come back. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 14:59, December 17, 2009 (UTC)

Or, he was a marine, and volunteered to participate in that engagement.-- Forerunner 15:08, December 17, 2009 (UTC)

Cruisers[edit]

The cruisers in the picture look a bit too large to be CRS class light cruisers. Are you sure that they are not CCS class battlecruisers? —This unsigned comment was made by The Master Builder (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

There's no way to be absolutely sure, so consider the following: In Halo 4 (from which this map's assets were derived) they only had light cruisers and armored cruisers. It's not the armored cruiser. The most reasonable conclusion is it's the light cruiser. I'm unsure if there's any evidence that the bright yellow/green lighting on the light cruisers in Halo 4 has been retroactively been applied as well to CCS-class. So while it's not certain, it's highly likely these are intended as light cruisers. The map's ships can't really be examined for size...these are all background 2D graphics not 3 dimensional renders. -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 22:32, 25 April 2014 (EDT)
