Hey there, sorry to be bringing this topic up again but for Christmas my bro got me the book Halo: the essential visual guide, on the page talking about the mark vi armor it mentions that blue team received the armor upon there return to earth after operation first strike, but there was one mistake which concerned me, it mentioned all of spartan blue team, being John, Fred, Kelly and Linda. Obviously they made a mistake cause Kelly was abducted by doctor Halsey before operation first strike and were going to onyx at the time of the operation. I was wondering if the mistake should be mentioned in the Halo: the essential visual guide's trivia area and also that Fred and Linda received the mark vi armor upon there return to earth

I'm not sure if mentioning that is necessary, since we don't know that for certain. It's just the most likely conclusion judging by the cover. Plus, since they were on Earth for two weeks, it would seem odd if they didn't receive the Mark VI at any point.

Hey there, sorry for the continued questions but i've looked through the spartans linda, will and fred to see if they recieved Mk VI armor and none of them say anything about it, i just read first strike and it only states that they gained upgrades to their Mk V armor, and if they did gain Mk VI armor on earth wouldn't it be wise to mention that on their pages to stop confussion with who the SPARTAN II in the Mk VI armor is?

Nope. The only parts of the book where John interacts with the other Spartans happen years before the Mark V or Mark VI were even created. Fred, Will and Linda most likely obtained the Mark VI during their stay on Earth and John never went to Onyx where he'd have a chance to meet anyone wearing SPI armor. The Mark VI Spartan in the cover is most probably Fred or Will since Linda would be more likely to use a sniper rifle.

Hey there, just asking how it couldn't be the master chief in the background of the cover, i believe it could be since he is mentioned a few times in the book and shows up in the second chapter and plus he is the only SPARTAN-II to obtain the Mk VI armor, just saying it could probably be him.
