From Halopedia, the Halo wiki
Hey there Nicmavr, Hopefully your January exams are going well, and you will soon be free to talk. I have a proposal for you and members of Halopedia, which pertains to a co-operation between the two wikis which could be the first stepping stone to a founded relationship between the two websites. When ever you have any spare time, I'd love to speak to you about it. Perhaps on the Halo Nation chat?
Regards.
I was banned again by Ajax_013. The log is as follows: [21:05] <Minuteman_2492_> hi Ajac [21:05] <Minuteman_2492_> *Ajax [21:07] == mode/#halopedia [+o Ajax_013] by ChanServ [21:07] <@Ajax_013> Oh hey thar [21:08] <@Ajax_013> I suppose you want one of 3 things [21:08] == mode/#halopedia [+o Aeolus] by ChanServ [21:08] <@Ajax_013> unban [21:08] <@Ajax_013> admins [21:08] <@Ajax_013> or AMERICAAAAAAAAAAAa, FUCK YEAH [21:08] <@Ajax_013> either way [21:08] <Minuteman_2492>: Actually, none of those things
Um, I just tried to join the Halopedia IRC, but it says i'm still banned from the channel. If you want to get a hold of my IP, just meet me on #Minutechat.
Sadly, I do not have any logs pertaining to the incident. Terribly sorry if this causes any inconvenience.
"The fact that you don't have a full grasp of the situation however I find rather shocking (as it relates to the current situation of HN)" - We don't spend the entirety of our day talking about HN/HP history, so the fact that I don't know why you were banned is hardly shocking. Though, if what I've heard is correct, I can't really blame Wikia.
Hey, Nicmavr, if there is any room for another Patroller or two, just want to let you know I'm willing to help out. I believe I have what it takes to combat vandalism, and also it would be nice for me to be able clean up my own messes (meaning the multiple updated image uploads) for a change, rather than always having to wait for someone else to come and take care of it for me. If not right now, then maybe sometime in the future. Okay?
I am alive, I just got a life :P But now I don't have one, so I may lurk from time to time. Unfortunately I haven't kept active with the Halo Universe so I am completely unable to contribute :P
Hey Nic, would it be possible to have Nicbot delete all the articles listed in the Candidates for deletion, in order to spare flooding the recent changes? The reason there is a high amount of pages tagged for deletion is because of a discussion regarding te notability of real world people.
Hey Nic,
Just a quick message in response to your message on my blog. The comment was in no means intended to be an insult, or blame to Halopedia. It wasn't meant in the "OMG, they don't work here, and it's Halopedia's fault!" It was intended as "They no longer work here as they have Halopedia to deal with, without the hassle of Halo Nation." As for them not being active here any more, I apologise, I was under the impression they still were.
Regards,
T3CHNOCIDE.
Hey Nic, can you please restore this image? It was being used as a reference on the Nicole-458 article.
Thanks,
Whoops, I'll give you the direct link.
Yeah, I'm sorry about that. It kind of fell by the wayside. The source is at User:31stCenturyBot/Source. Sorry I didn't do more. Thanks. --~~~~
Hey, Nic. LONG time no see. I always thought you had admin in you. How've you been? How's everyone been?
Hey Nic does this site still have the sandbox page? Can you tell me where it is? i cant find it and i wanna play with my signature
It has little to do with politics and more with internet culture (I predict a meme coming soon as a result of this).
The basic gist of SOPA/PIPA is to block any site that contains infringing property. Essentially, if you don't properly cite fair use/fair dealing, it counts as copyright infringement.
While SOPA has been put on hold temporarily, the PIPA bill is going full steam ahead. If it passes, The Pirate Bay and other torrent sites may be the first to be targeted. Depending on the final text of the bills, these sites may be blocked by ISPs, censored by search engines, and in some cases they may even lose their domain names.
