The R270 Mongoose is one of multiple civilian versions of the M270 Mongoose, a utility quadbike formerly in use with the United Nations Space Command. The R270 in particular was homologated, meaning that it had been approved for use in motorsport events, by the appropriate authorities. It earned widespread success in the hands of rally racers, at several colonial rallies.[1]
