Princeps

A princeps was a Forerunner officer serving the ecumene's navy. On warships, the princeps served as the ship's captain and prime coordinator[1], leading the ship's crew of navarchs. The princeps and navarchs were protected by heavily armored Warrior-Servant scutarii.[2]
