Praetorians were elite Warrior-Servants within the Forerunner ecumene. All Prometheans were considered as being of the praetorians' righteous temper and lethal grace, as were the Myrmidons and other special intervention forces.[1]

Mantle's Approach carried a contingent of 250,000 praetorians.[2]
