Operation

An operation is a planned military offensive conducted by a military force, generally against a specific enemy objective or group of objectives. Operations can be large scale military campaigns, battles or small, covert insertions. Operations receive unique code words to distinguish themselves from other actions without giving away sensitive information that could be intercepted by enemy forces.

• Operation: ABLE SENTRY - A force reconnaissance operation, Edward Buck participated in to prepare for Operation: PHALANX on Circinius IV.

• Operation: ACADEMIC (February 10 2558) - Fireteam Majestic was ordered to advance on Covenant cultists on a location on Requiem.

• Operation: ALL-SEEING EYE (February 8 2558) - An operation that saw Fireteam Majestic recon for a location for a possible base establishment on Requiem.

• Operation: ANCHORITE (October 2558) - An operation undertaken by Fireteam Osiris to rescue Catherine Halsey from Covenant custody on Kamchatka.

• Operation: ASTUTE TIGER - An operation Edward Buck participated in on Harvest which consisted of deploying ADM's to predicted Covenant landing zones prior to UNSC evacuation.

• Operation: ATHENA (2558) - Operation launched to discover the location of the Absolute Record.

• Operation: ATLAS VIGILANCE (2558) - An aborted ONI mission undertaken by Spartan Vale that involved securing Shipmaster Ori 'Sumai at Salia III.

• Operation: BLEACH (February 2558) - An ONI mission related to Mission to Alpha Shard, involving Codename: FIXER recovering information regarding it.

• Operation: BLIND FAITH (2552) - A combined UNSC and Sangheili battlegroup follow the Prophet of Truth to Installation 00, locating and assassinating the leader of the Covenant.

• Operation: BLOWBACK (2552) - Aborted Spartan-II Black Team covert operation to gather intelligence and destroy Covenant ships in Sub-sector 35.

• Operation: BLUE MOON (Prior to 2530) - The operation involved the sweeping and clearing of a URF base on Eridanus II by an ODST team. Spartan-II Linda-058 provided cover fire for the team.

• Operation: BRAVADO (2552) - An operation of involving Vice Admiral Michael Stanforth.

• Operation: BREADCRUMB - A mission in which Captain James Cutter was involved at some point.

• Operation: BRONZE COBRA (Between 2553 and 2557) - An operation on Venezia undertaken by Spartan-II Linda-058.

• Operation: BUMRUSH (October 20, 2552) - An ODST mission in which they had to infiltrate the CAS-class assault carrier Solemn Penance and force the ship down.

• Operation: BUZZHAWK (September 2558) - A Surakan Militia сounter-operation against Jiralhanae invaders on planet Carrow.

• Operation: CARRION HEART (2553) - A UNSC operation details of which have been redacted by the ONI, though Fred-104 participated in it.

• Operation: CARTWHEEL (2540's) - A SPARTAN-III Beta Company mission.

• Operation: CIRRUS (2552) - An operation in which Blue Team was tasked to rescue key military personnel from the Forerunner world of Onyx.

• Operation: CLEAN SWEEP - An operation during the Insurrection.

• Operation: COALPEPPER (2555) - A Spartan-IV operation to recover the Huragok Quick to Adjust from United Rebel Front-controlled Talitsa.

• Operation: COUGAR REDEMPTION (Prior to 2557) - UNSC operation undertaken by Kelly-087.

• Operation: DAWN ECLIPSE (Prior to 2558) - A mission during which Spartan Locke served as security for an ONI xenoarchaeological survey team at a redacted location.

• Operation: FAR STORM (2555) - Joint UNSC-Swords of Sanghelios mission to Installation 00.

• Operation: FIRESIDE (2552) - An ODST mission on Ariel.

• Operation: FIRST STRIKE (2552) - A small SPARTAN-II offensive against the Covenant battle station Unyielding Hierophant.

• Operation: FLINT DEVIL (Prior to 2557) - An operation undertaken by Kelly-087 during which she was deployed to Installation 03 to provide security for a research facility on the ring.

• Operation: FOCUS LENS 2555 (2555) - A joint-service exercise on Mars simulating a second invasion of the Sol system by the Covenant undertaken by Holly Tanaka.

• Operation: GREY VEIL (Circa 2541) - An assassination mission on the planet Heian undertaken by an ODST squad accompanied by Spartan-II Cal-141.

• Operation: IRON FIST (Mid 2540s) - An operation undertaken by John-117 during which he was deployed to Miridem with the duel goals of asset denial and partial recovery of critical cyberinfrastructure assets.

• Operation: JOINT MONITOR (After November 2552) - Biohazard containment operation following the Battle of Voi in which Alpha-Nine participated.

• Operation: JOVIAN WHISTLE (May 2553) - Operation conducted by the UNSC on the human colony of Gao in order to retrieve Forerunner technology on the planet.

• Operation: KALEIDOSCOPE (2502) - The assassination of rebel political leader, Jerald Mulkey Ander, on Harvest.

• Operation: KINETIC STORM (During or after 2553) - A series of reconnaissance and strike operations in an unknown Joint Occupation Zone in which Edward Buck participated.

• Operation: LAND GRAB (February 7 2558) - An mission which saw the initial assault and neutralization of Covenant positions inside Requiem.

• Operation: LEFT JAB (2552) - UNSC Naval operation in support of Operation: UPPER CUT during the Fall of Reach.

• Operation: MAD HATTER (Prior to 2558) - A mission during which Spartan Locke was a part of a counter-mobility strike in a redacted location on Jiralhanae-controlled "forgeship" Boundless Artifice.

• Operation: MARSH FLASH (December 3, 2552) - An operation against clusters of Jiralhanae leadership attempting to activate an artifact in Arizona, directed by Fleet Admiral Joseph Harper. One of the final battles in the Human-Covenant war and the final battle in the Battle for Earth.

• Operation: OCEAN BREAKER (July 2552) - Spartan-II's deployment on Sigma Octanus IV.

• Operation: OCEAN RAPTOR (Prior to 2558) - A UNSC operation that took place at a location redacted by the ONI. It was undertaken by Fireteam Stingray under command of Spartan Olympia Vale.

• Operation: OCTAGON (Prior to 2553) - An operation undertaken by Linda-058. Mission details remain highly classified.

• Operation: PALE SHADOW (Prior to 2537) - UNSC operation on Eirene involving Kelly-087.

• Operation: PHALANX - An operation on Circinius IV.

• Operation: SPEARBREAKER (2559) - Operation undertaken by ODST squad Sunray 1-1 during the Second Ark Conflict.
