New Harmony (city)

New Harmony is one of the most populated cities on Mars. Cadmon and Thomas Lasky grew up in New Harmony before attending the Corbulo Academy of Military Science.[Note 1][1] On April 2, 2526, UNSC forces working with ONI agents prevented an Insurrectionist attack on the New Harmony Spaceport attempted by Christina Rice and James McCann, who had disguised themselves as Army specialists and were attempting to steal Hyperion nuclear warheads.[2]

The city may have been named after one of the several towns and communities of the same name in the United States.

- ^ In the final cinematic of the Halo 4 level Midnight, Lasky states that he grew up on New Harmony. This suggests he is referring to the planet New Harmony as opposed to the city of the same name on Mars. However, Mars is established as his homeworld in Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn and it is mentioned in the fourth issue of Halo: Escalation that he grew up with Petra Janecek on Mars. Thus it is most likely that the reference to the planet in Halo 4 is a production error and Lasky is meant to refer to the Martian city.
