Spirit Graveyard Stand-Off is the twelfth mission of Halo: Spartan Assault.
IntroductionEdit
Having secured a safe landing zone at the Glacial Perch, Davis moved to regroup with a second platoon of marines, whose pods were coming down among dozens of crashed Spirits. These Spirits were destroyed from orbit by UNSC Eminent Domain just as the ship itself was destroyed. Davis and the marines found Covenant infantry swarming from the wrecked Spirits, angry and looking for payback.
ObjectivesEdit
Defend against incoming CovenantEdit
Spartan Edward Davis stands nearby an empty Single Occupant Exoatmospheric Insertion Vehicle. Several destroyed Dextro Xur-pattern Spirit dropships surround the area. As he continues forward, several more HEVs land nearby and Orbital Drop Shock Troopers exit. Waves of Unggoy Minors and Kig-Yar Minors attack Davis and the ODSTs. Eventually, the humans are able to defeat the Covenant attack force.
Clear all the scavenging DronesEdit
After the Covenant forces are killed, a swarm of Yanme'e Minors fly up from below. Davis and the Marines are able to defeat the first wave of Drones, but two more swarms fly up from below and attack. Eventually, the Spartan and ODSTs are successful in killing all three swarms of scavenging Yanme'e.
Eliminate enemy reinforcementsEdit
With the Yanme'e swarms defeated, three groups of Covenant reinforcements arrive and attempt to kill Davis and the ODSTs. One group only consists of two Kig-Yar Minors that are easily killed by Spartan Davis. The second group is composed of numerous Unggoy Minors, led by two Kig-Yar Minors. Davis and the ODSTs eventually take out the group. The final group consists of two more Kig-Yar Minors. Davis and the ODSTs are able to kill them as well.
Collect and defend the engineersEdit
With the Covenant reinforcements destroyed, Davis must rescue and protect two combat engineers in the area. A Sangheili Minor riding a Karo'etba-pattern Ghost arrives, but Spartan Davis is able to kill him. Nearby, Davis rescues the first engineer. The engineer follows the Spartan as he moves on to rescue the remaining engineer. A second Ghost attempts to kill the Spartan and engineers, but it is destroyed. Eventually, Davis rescues the second engineer.
Return to the center of the drop zoneEdit
With the engineers rescued, Davis and the combat engineers return to the center of the drop zone. More Covenant reinforcements appear.
Defend the engineers against the final assaultEdit
Davis and the ODSTs protect the engineers from the Covenant assault as another swarm of Yanme'e flies up from below and attacks. Several Sangheili Majors charge at the humans. Eventually, the Sangheili and Yanme'e are defeated. South, Spartan Davis discovers and kills a lance of Unggoy Majors and Minors. To the north, another lance of Unggoy Majors and Minors attack, but they are quickly killed by the Spartan and the ODSTs. With the Grunts dead, two Sangheili Minors charge in from the north and south, but they are both killed. After, two more Minors and a Sangheili Major attack Spartan Davis and the engineers, but they are all eventually killed by the Spartan. Finally, Spartan Davis and the ODSTs have destroyed the Covenant's assault force.
