Official news
- Halo: Epitaph, a brand new Halo novel written by Kelly Gay, released on February 27th! It follows the Ur-Didact after the events of Halo 4 and Halo: Escalation which culminated in his composition at the hands of John-117. What's more is that the official audiobook for Halo: Epitaph will be narrated by Keith Szarabajka, the voice actor for the Ur-Didact!
- Halo Infinite's Content Update 29, which features a new multiplayer map, the new Mark IV MJOLNIR armor core, several new operations with customization for the Mark IV MJOLNIR, Chimera, and Mark VII MJOLNIR armor cores, customization based off of Silver Team's armor, cross-core shoulder armor, refreshes to the maps featured in several matchmaking playlists, new additions to Forge, and more, released on January 30th!
- Halo: Outcasts, a brand new Halo novel written by Troy Denning, was released on August 8th! It follows Arbiter Thel 'Vadam and Spartan-IV Olympia Vale shortly before the events of Halo Infinite as they search the desolate world of Netherop for an artifact with the potential of loosening Cortana's tyrannical grip on the galaxy!
- Digsite, a team composed of 343 Industries employees and community modders, are busy restoring cut content from previous Halo games, such as Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2! An upcoming update to Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC will allow modders to incorporate this restored content into their creations. Read more HERE!

The UNSC Pillar of Autumn, (hull classification symbol C-709), was a Halcyon-class light cruiser in the UNSC Navy. It was informally referred to as the Autumn, and, in some cases, the Pillar. Prior to the Fall of Reach the Pillar of Autumn was selected to support Operation: RED FLAG, a SPARTAN-II mission to capture Covenant leaders. Captain Jacob Keyes was placed in command. The operation was forestalled by the Covenant assault on Reach; the cruiser carried some of the few UNSC survivors and fled the system having lost most of its intended SPARTAN-II passengers.
